Prior to starting Clear Solutions, I worked for five years as a business process analyst in a variety of organizations and industries. I captured operational workflows in writing which prevented loss of crucial knowledge when employees left, which allowed managers to better delegate the work, and which enabled us to improve efficiencies overall.

Over ten years ago, I started Clear Solutions to continue capturing workflows using a tried-and-true method I developed over the years.

Here are a few examples of how capturing workflows in writing improved a business:

  • Reduced training employee replacements by 50%.

  • Reduced sales close time by 75%.

  • Improved how the work was distributed which eliminated the need to hire an additional team member.

  • Identified fraud vulnerability and created a workflow to greatly reduce fraud potential.

  • Strengthened inventory management processes which reduced monthly count discrepancies and improved the accuracy of financial reports.

When I’m not working, I’m usually out on the water or in the mountains. I sea kayak locally all year and love to explore the waters around Vancouver Island, the west coast of British Columbia, and SE Alaska.

I was fortunate to grow up in the Pacific Northwest and enjoy hiking and scrambling throughout the Cascades and Olympics.

Giving back is important to me. I share my passion for kayaking and hiking by teaching and leading trips for local outdoor clubs.

I also enjoy volunteering at a community garden which provides food to the local food bank, and at an animal sanctuary where I help cats and kittens learn to trust humans and become loving pets.
